Session Summary
Protecting your brand for export

Exporting offers significant growth opportunities for most businesses but crucial to the equation is protecting your brand as you expand. Fake products contribute over USD0.5 trillion to the global economy, annually, and cause the loss over 2.5 million jobs each year. Sadly, many businesses go into exporting without due consideration to fake and copycat products, but there is much that can be done, for very little money, to protect products - and businesses - in advance. And, if you do find fakes, to protect your customers, revenues and reputation quickly and easily. This is completely key when fakes can harm for life; think fake beauty products, fake car parts ... the list of deadly interactions is endless. Passionate about exporting, founder of SnapDragon Monitoring, Rachel will explain the value of registering intellectual property to protect your brand online and provide hints and tips for businesses large and small.
